West Michigan Provisioning Centers forced closed by local Law Enforcement.
04 December 2016
Kind has always been a destination provisioning center. We have been ranked in the top 10 on the leafly list consistently and have also achieved national attention reaching number 12 on a list of the top 25 Dispensaries in North America. However we are saddened to hear that Kind and other Lansing provisioning centers are seeing a flood of patients from west MI who have recently lost access to their meds in a safe, secure, and convenient manner.
Sometimes it can be easy as a Lansing resident to take for granted the freedoms and tolerance that exists in our community for Cannabis and a new exciting and much needed industry. Now more than ever, we should stay aware and informed about the changing regulatory frameworks that are being put into place now across our state in our local communities. Local City Council and planning board meetings will become the new battleground for patients access as we move forward in a new better regulated market.
These most recent shut downs illustrate why it is so important that all of our patients become advocates in their communities for safe access and patient rights. We will do our best here at Kind to keep you updated on the most recent state of affairs in Cannabis reform and the real life implications such as these shut downs in Kent County.
